Sunova is winding down and will no longer operate contests or member services. Thank you for being part of this experiment to celebrate AI-first music. After careful review, we are closing the platform to focus on other ventures. Below is what this means for everyone who trusted us with their time, work, and payments.
Why we are closing
Operations have ceased
We have closed the Sunova platform and are no longer accepting sign-ups, logins, submissions, or admin actions.
Legal overhead is untenable for a team of one
While our model is lawful in most jurisdictions, maintaining the required compliance posture and responding to inquiries is not sustainable for a single-operator company.
Financial viability was not reached
Community interest stayed below the level needed to cover infrastructure, contest prizes, and support, so continuing would not be responsible.
Payments processor terminated our account
Our processor closed the account because of the contest model, affecting other products we run with them. This confirms we cannot rely on that rail for this concept.
Refunds
- Every contest entry has been refunded in full.
- Bank posting times vary; please allow 5-10 business days for funds to appear.
- If your bank shows a pending reversal, it should settle automatically without action needed from you.
Context & apology
I truly believed that highlighting the craft behind AI music through contests, awards, and community recognition would help shift public opinion the way the traditional music industry nurtures scenes. I am sorry to the people who saw that potential and invested their energy here. Thank you for creating, voting, and giving feedback; your support meant a great deal.

We will dedicate our time to other projects and will not reopen Sunova. If anything about your refund looks off after 10 business days, reach out and we will provide documentation from the payment processor.
